‘let it goooooo! let it gooooooo!’ i haven’t even seen Frozen but somehow i know this song, smh!  that’s what pops into my head as i watch Dego cruise aaaaall around the house though.  he is officially one as of last month and has yet to take his first solo steps.  I’m not rushing him though! i love, love, LOVE this stage. gosh.  yall know i got my camera phone ready for that fateful day though.


friday night, we went to dinner at Fogo De Chao for my MIL’s birthday!  Fogo has THE best salad bar, eva. i was so proud of myself that night, yall.  this is the first time i didn’t go to Fogo and walk out in pain from stuffing myself silly.  wut? let’s give it up for small victories! i hit the salad bar twice and only had 2 pieces of bacon wrapped chicken breast and that salmon you see up there for my protein. if you’ve ever been to a churrascarria then you know the gaucho’s (waiters) walk around with big slabs of rare to well done meat (chicken, pork, beef) and it’s all you can eat!  if you want them to keep coming, you keep the card they give you with the green (gooooo) side facing up.  if you want them to stop the madness, you flip your card over to the red (shtaaaap)  side. i left full and satisfied from the food and the company.


so much so that i left room for a piece of birthday cake.  whipped topping is the bomb.

we stopped by Sprouts for more cherries as i am OBSESSED. i have eaten more cherries this summer than i have in my entire life.  they are still in season and on sale at most grocery stores!  i thought it would have been fun to do a Periscope broadcast while we shopped, but my phone battery was crazy low. so, i did a vid after we got back in the truck. what do you think of Periscope so far? it’s helping me become way more comfy in front of the camera for sure.


once home, i made these little healthy gems from my e-book, Fit Foodie Lean, for my Periscopers!  did you catch it?! i recently learned the scopes expire after 24 hours myself so if ya missed this 13 CALORIE muffin recipe, well here it is!!!!

Oat Bran Banana Mini Muffins – Fit Foodie Lean e-book (makes 24)

the stuff:

  • 1/2 cup raw organic oat bran OR rolled oats
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 packet granulated Stevia
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese OR greek yogurt OR unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder

do this:

  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray mini muffin tin with no stick cooking spray.
  2. combine all ingredients in food processor; mix until your batter is smooth and lump free.
  3. fill each muffin cup 3/4 cup full.
  4. cook for 7-10 min in a 350 degree oven or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  5. let muffins cool completely, then add toppings! i did a scoop of sugar-free cool whip, a slice of banana, a piece of pecan, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. my boys LOVE these!  check out the nutritional stats below:

  1. Congrats to Andrea.I thought it was me at first. Lol had to do a double take. I bet you are proud of how you haneed yourself at the chuccaaria. I know I have misspelled this, but am too lazy to scroll back up. I don’t know if I would do well with that type of restaurant. Lol
