finally!!!
it’s that time again. we took the boys to see the BIG tree in the Houston Galleria on Thanksgiving weekend.
we were hoping the 3rd floor had less traffic so we could snag a good pic (you know you need 53 billion extra takes with kiddos) and we did the best we could. i was so nervous and literally sweating being up so high while holding Dego though, yikes.
crouching down next to the rail instead of standing put me at ease. from that point forward, Chiso could not stop talking about getting our own tree! so, we did just that immediately after church the next day and before the Texan’s game.
happier than a bird with a french fry.
after careful consideration, he picked a good one for us.
my curious little 3-year-old…. one question always leads to 30, haha. doesn’t really matter what i answer either; his reply is always ‘why, mommy?’
i find myself answering him how my mom used to answer me. ‘because i said so.’ i think i say that between 5-10 times a day now.
he gushed about his plans for decorating the tree the whole ride home.
his joy is so contagious.
but now Mommy has to go on a treasure hunt around the house for all the decorations, woo hoo!
Q: is there a specific way your tree must be decorated? (colors, lights, ornaments)
Q: fake or real trees? i love the smell of real trees so we do one every year.
le
We did a real Christmas tree last year, and it smelled great. But hubby wasn’t happy transporting it to and fro and there were pricklies everywhere! lol So we are back to artificial trees that can be stored and reused.
As far as decorations go…in my heart, I want our joint to look like something off of Pinterest, but iono. LOL Maybe, I’ll pull out the stops for baby girl’s first Christmas. Maybe.
